**John 3:3,5-7: “**Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.“

In this chapter of the Gospel of John, our Lord does not explain how to be born again or what needs to be done for it, but simply gives a command that we must experience this; otherwise, we will not enter the Kingdom of God. At one time, I repeatedly asked this question: I approached elder brothers and asked, I read the literature available to us at the time, but everything seemed vague, and no one gave a clear answer—all the answers were different.
The only thing left was to delve into the Word of God with prayer. And now I share with you what has become clear to me.
Generally people say that it’s very simple, pointing to:

1 John 5:1: “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God...”

But other verses from the Bible come up, which say:

Matthew 7:21-23: “Not every one that saith unto Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity’”.

There are many other passages in Scripture (I won’t list them here) that show that things are not so straightforward, and that such an important and foundational topic as being born again cannot be explained through just one verse of Scripture.
According to the words of Jesus Christ, to be born again is to be born of water and the Spirit.
