Can a person be freed from sin? What does the Bible say about this? Communicating with people who call themselves Christians and listening to their confession of faith, it becomes evident that many treat this issue lightly.

They say:
This turns into a play on words, on one hand, there are calls from the pulpit saying:
But on the other hand:
From this, a question arises:
This results in a very unserious attitude toward the Word of God and toward one's own salvation. Let us reflect on this question.
Jesus Christ, speaking with the Jews who believed in Him, said that He frees a person from sin:

John 8:31-32: "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him: If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
John 8:34-36:"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

So, what needs to be done to be freed from sin?
Abide in the Word of the Lord. The Word of the Lord is the Bible. One must read, delve into the Word, communicate, ask the Lord for clarity on this matter, and strive to understand the answer to this question as God teaches it to us. By doing this, a person will come to know the truth, which will set them free from sin, meaning they will already be able not to sin while in this earthly body.
If you object that this cannot be, then it turns out that Jesus Christ lied in the Gospel of John. It also follows that the Apostle Paul lied in his epistle to the Romans:

Romans 6:6-7: "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin."
Romans 6:17-18: "But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you. Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness."
Romans 8:1-2: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

Similarly, the Apostle John writes in his epistle that one born of God does not sin:
<aside>
1 John 3:9: "Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
